Brilliant Coffee Maker - But as usual the Italians are not good at putting good owners guides together. ( I had an Gaggia Synchrony for 8 years so well experienced ) A couple of useful pointers I have learnt as result of calling Gaggia (BTW Gaggia help line is very good). The DREGS FULL Indicator is by number of coffees made (not infared) and is only reset when the dregs is emptied WHEN MACHINE IS ON (contrary to instructions that say clean when switched off!!) Amount is set to about 12 coffees. The DOSING Dial is restricting the speed at which the water flows thru coffee and not the amount of coffee or the amount of water. The water goes thru slower thus strengthening the coffee. I have given feedback to GAGGIA that they should supply a laminated A5 size "Quick Guide" to keep near the coffee maker. Also again having used a Synchrony Logic - I reccomend that the other filter is removed and cleaned occasionaly - a bit fidly but worth it to keep your coffee fresh tasting. XPRESS have been very helpful - fast delivery (next day) good price (lowest I found for UK Authorised - which is worthwhile BTW as extra Guarantee cover) and helpful after sales.
