Xpress Coffee Uk Sponsors Far Cotton Boys Boxing Club

& Macmillan Cancer Support

Xpress Coffee Uk has partnered up with Far Cotton Boys Boxing Club to help them raise money for the good work they do in the local community. Far Cotton's John Daly takes youngsters off the street and teaches them the art of boxing. With this they learn discipline and John also promotes them to put some of their energy into helping others less fortunate which is why we have helped them join forces with our other sponsored charity Macmillans.

Members of a boxing club in Northampton are getting out of the ring and onto the roads by signing up for this year's Cycle for Cynthia event.
The 30 youngsters from Far Cotton Boys Club are hoping to raise a knockout amount for Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Kettering Road and Macmillan Cancer Support in the 25-mile bike ride on Sunday, October 12.

John Daly, coach at the club, said: "We've got a good few lads here who are disciplined and we just wanted to help. The boys are dedicated and said straightaway that they wanted to do the bike ride.

"We just want to raise as much money as we can and it will be the boxing season but instead of coming up the gym, these boys can ride a 25-mile bike ride. They're looking forward to it because it makes a change to doing all the boxing work at the gym.

"We like to be involved and if we can raise money for some people, we will do."

This year's event starts off from Franklin's Gardens, with a five-mile route around the stadium for youngsters, a 25-mile route and a 50-mile route stretching as far north as Naseby.
