XpressCoffee Launches 1st iPhone App for Servicing
Xpress Coffee Commercial Ltd are known for pushing their back up and support to new levels. In 2010 they launched the Association of Independent Espresso Machines Engineers which is a synergy of the top independent engineers in the Uk officially working together for the first time to give back up and support across the Uk.
It is probably no surprise that they have now commissioned a team from the computing department at The University of Northampton to design an iPhone application that customers can use their phones GPRS to find their nearest engineer.
Workers in the School of Science and Technology have created XpressoEngineerFinder for Xpress Coffee, an online coffee retailer based near Milton Keynes.
The app has been designed to help customers find their closest Expresso Service Engineer, using the iPhone’s GPS. The iPhone also acts as a gateway to the Xpress Coffee Uk website.
Gary Hill, Head of the Computing Division, School of Science and Technology, said: “This is the second iPhone app developed by the university for the region’s business community.
“The first was for Northamptonshire County Council, with Gary and his team designing an iPhone app which enables users to access council information at the click of an icon.
“The app has already had over 2,000 downloads and the Android version will follow soon.”
The XpressoEngineerFinder app can be found in iTunes.
