Looking For An Alternative To Jura?

Jura have had a monopoly on the high end small Bean to Cup or Automatic market for some years but those days are drawing to an end with other manufacturers entering the end of the market. Look out for brands such as the new Delonghi Prima Donna Avant and the new Siemens machine voted number one in its price range on the Gadget Show (August 2010). I have personally had nearly every Jura coffee machine at home when I was Jura’s largest Uk domestic retailer but I have now upgraded to the new WMF 800. which is a commercial machine but fitted into a small and compact frame. If money was no object then the WMF 800. is my personal favorite and the machine I currently use at home but with the Siemens TK76209-RW a close second and a bargin at around half the price.  In my opinion when it came to producing the finest coffee machines Jura had no competition and have certainly now shown other brands the way.

A History Of Jura
The Jura coffee machines had been dubbed the ‘Rolls Royce’ of espresso makers. The Jura name is rooted in tradition, as well as embracing the advances in technology. Established in 1931 by an entrepreneur and Swiss inventor, Jura grew from its origins in a small Swiss village into an international brand. Jura dedicated its resources into the development of superior Jura coffee machines in the early nineties, securing itself as a leading name in the coffee industry.

Jura coffee and Swiss chocolate
Jura coffee machines tap into a Swiss tradition; one that prizes excellence and luxury. Swiss chocolate for example has its origins in the 17th century and Swiss chocolates, together with their timepieces, have earned a reputation for high quality abroad. Chocolate and coffee are two of the finest combination’s, and the Swiss know how good their Jura coffee machines and luxurious chocolate are – in fact the Swiss have the highest per capita rate of chocolate consumption world-wide.

Jura coffee machines for Swiss design and quality

The production of fine quality luxurious goods combined with the expertise in design means the Swiss are best-placed to produce state-of-the-art Jura coffee machines. One of the most famous examples of Swiss design is the Swiss Army knife, the multi-function tool that has become a must-have gadget for campers, explorers and adventurers. The design is so successful that it has taken on iconic status, and ‘Swiss Army Knife’ is now a term used to metaphorically describe usefulness. Jura coffee machines tap into this Swiss genius, where design and luxury combine to create high quality products sought after by coffee lovers all over the world.
